Membership is available to those who purchase the First Year Specialist/Postpartum Doula Certification Course. The first year of membership is free and is $99 a year thereafter. Here are the benefits you will receive:

Case Reviews
Our bi-monthly case reviews are an opportunity for midwives, doulas, lactation consultants, and others who work in reproductive health, to come together and review care-related issues through the insight of The Compass of Mindful Caregiving. This is an opportunity to expand your knowledge and improve your care through interaction with experts and peers, and through evidence-based feedback.

Community Conversations
You will have the opportunity to be a part of an online peer community that meets virtually to discuss your experiences in a safe environment with the aim of supporting each other. When you participate in Community Conversations, you will connect with a community of doulas who are just as passionate as you are about empowering clients and practicing self-care.

WidomWay Doulas provides you with mentorship through bi-weekly office hours with one of our perinatal and mindfulness experts.

Chicago Based, Paid Internship Opportunities
One way that WisdomWay Doulas is unique from other doula certifying courses is that we have a sister organization, Birthways Inc., in Chicago, Illinois. Our founder, Karen Laing, started Birthways in 1997, and it is the longest standing doula organization in the country. It serves families with labor support & postpartum care, perinatal education, mindfulness-based childbirth and parenting courses, a lactation clinic and lactation home visiting team, and integrated mental health services, among other comprehensive offerings. Ask us about how you can benefit from a paid internship with this incredible doula business.

Lactation Warmline and Virtual Lactation Consultations
Our warmline is set up through our sister organization, Birthways Inc. It allows your client to get feedback from a Board Certified Lactation Consultant when they run into a situation that you’re just not sure how to handle. Birthways also offers your clients access to virtual lactation consultations. Your clients pay for these services, but the virtual lactation consultations are covered by many insurance plans.

Discounts on WisdomWay Institute Retreats, Webinars, and Courses
WisdomWay Institute provides mindfulness-based webinars, retreats, and courses for professionals like you who work in healthcare and caregiving-related fields. Through these offerings, we aim to change the way you think about caring for others. You will have access to a resource library, and we will also send you periodic emails in which we will share tips and resources that will help you grow and manage your business, and care for your clients. These will include mindfulness tips such as cultivating self-care, staying connected with your clients, staying grounded, practicing self-compassion, engaging in deeper listening, and shifting bias.
